Zen monks have employed matcha green tea powder for millennia due to its capacity to improve focus and speed up metabolism. It is referred to be the "elixir of health" among monks.
Green tea plantations are shaded in the final months before harvest to drastically increase the amount of chlorophyll in the finished product. The best leaves are then selected by hand and processed into a fine powder using a stone mill.
You consume the entire tea leaf, dissolved in water, when you use matcha.
Matcha is known for boosting antioxidant, vitamin, and a mineral powerhouse. The antioxidant content of two grammes of matcha is the same as 120 wild blueberries or 10 cups of regular green tea.
Directions: For a delicious, smooth green tea simply mix 1/2 teaspoon of matcha into hot water. You can also use our matcha to make smoothies, refreshing iced tea, lattes or desserts!
