Huckleberry Crumble Recipe:

Ingredients:

  • 6 cups frozen huckleberries
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, chilled and diced

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the frozen huckleberries, white sugar, cornstarch, lemon juice, vanilla extract, and cinnamon.
  3. Pour the huckleberry mixture into a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix together the flour, oats, brown sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  6. Sprinkle the crumble mixture over the huckleberries.
  7. Bake in the oven for 40-45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
