Join us for a walk in the forest, and learn the how, when and where of mushroom foraging!

Our expert forager will take you and your family on a forest walk, uncovering the details of where to look, when to move and how to harvest edible mushrooms. This is a hands-on activity and we hope to find mushrooms for all, and you will be surprised at your ability to spot the wild mushrooms on the forest floor. Part treasure hunt, part ecological awakening, this experience is like no other. The activity has been treasured for generations by many cultues, making it a seasonal must-do to share stories and learn recipes.

*Suitable clothing (it can get chilly in the forest) and shoes

*A knife and a basket (a wicker basket is best)
WHAT WE WILL DO
Please arrive 10 minutes early to make sure we can start our walk on time. Our expert will introduce himself, and provide a thorough tutorial on the foraging experience while we walk, stop, and look for wild mushrooms. We will visit a couple of different spots, collect mushrooms, and have a chance to take lots of photos in between!
For those interested, we will complete the experience with a BBQ with garlic and parsley to taste the freshly foraged goodies.
Extra baskets will be available for take-home
This workshop implements safety precautions as advised by the health authorities in Canada. Let’s look after each other by taking basic responsibilities.
